Our Directors

Laurel TIppe is in her 2nd year as Choir Director at Steffen and Lake Shore Middle Schools. Last year she jumped right in and proudly lead the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade choir. When asked the question: "What song always makes you want to turn up the volume and sing along?", she replied, "I would have to say that it's a toss up between 'Love on Top' by Beyonce or 'Call Me Al' by Paul Simon."

Jennifer Schwingle is thrilled to be joining the students, families and faculty at Homestead High School.
Before arriving at Homestead High School, Ms. Schwingle served as one of two Choral Directors and Musical Director at Kettle Moraine High School and Kettle Moraine School for Arts and Performance. There she taught and conducted Concert Choir, Chorale, and Chamber Singers, served as Mentor to students in both the Vocal Focus and Musical Theatre Focus areas, and taught a wide range of seminars in KM Perform. During this time Ms. Schwingle was the Alto Section Coach for the 2017 and 2018 WSMA High School State Honors Mixed Choirs, and is currently a member of the American Choral Directors Association.

Prior to Kettle Moraine, Ms. Schwingle taught for 13 years at Pilgrim Park Middle School in Brookfield, WI, where she taught a diverse repertoire of choral literature, choreographed and directed musicals, show choir, and supervised student teachers. Additionally Ms. Schwingle accompanies and coaches students in private voice and piano, prioritizes healthy vocal technique and pedagogy, and focuses on addressing students’ individual vocal developmental needs.

Ms. Schwingle is passionate about music and dance of all genres, and looks forward to making incredible music with the musicians of Homestead High School.
